Setup guide

How to set up IPTV on Android TV and Google TV

Short answer: install an IPTV player from Google Play, choose Xtream Codes, and type your server address, username and password. This works on Android TV, Google TV, most Android boxes and Android phones.

Step 1: install a player from Google Play

Open Google Play on your TV or box and search for "IPTV player". Pick a recently updated app that supports Xtream Codes or M3U. Stick to the official store, because it is the safer place to get apps.

Step 2: add your login

  1. Open the app and choose to add a playlist.
  2. Choose Xtream Codes. Use the M3U link only if the app has no Xtream option.
  3. Type the server address, username and password exactly as they were sent to you.
  4. Save, and wait for the channels to load.

Don't have a login yet? Choose a plan and your details arrive by email and in your private chat.

Step 3: organise your channels

Channels are sorted into groups. Mark your favourites so you don't need to scroll through the whole list, and update the TV guide in the settings if it looks empty.

Stop buffering on Android TV

  • Use a network cable where you can, or 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Close other apps, and pause big downloads on your network.
  • Restart the box. Long-running boxes can slow down.
  • Check your speed against the internet speed guide.

For other devices, see the Smart TV guide, the Firestick guide or the full setup guide. Still stuck? Read IPTV not working: what to check.

Common questions

Which app should I use on Android TV?

Any IPTV player from Google Play that accepts Xtream Codes or M3U. Choose one with recent updates and good reviews. Some have a paid version, which is separate from your IPTV subscription.

Does this work on an Android TV box?

Yes, if the box has Google Play or another trusted app store. On a box with no store, ask us in the chat before you buy a plan.

Does the same guide work on an Android phone or tablet?

Yes. The steps are the same: install a player from Google Play, then add your login. Phone apps are handy for checking whether a problem comes from your TV or your login.

Why is my TV guide empty?

The guide usually loads after the channels. Give it a few minutes, then use the option to update the EPG in the app settings.
