How to watch IPTV on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad
Short answer: install an IPTV player from the App Store, choose Xtream Codes, and type your server address, username and password. The same login works across your Apple devices, within your plan's connection limit.
Step 1: get a player from the App Store
On your Apple TV, iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and search for "IPTV player". Read the description to check it supports Xtream Codes or M3U. Some apps exist for iPhone but not Apple TV, so check that it runs on your device.
Step 2: add your login
- Open the app and choose to add a playlist or account.
- Choose Xtream Codes, or M3U if that is the only option.
- Enter the server address, username and password. On Apple TV, the Remote app on your iPhone makes typing easier.
- Save, and wait for the channels to load.
No login yet? You get one after you choose a plan.
Using AirPlay
To send video from an iPhone or iPad to an Apple TV, both must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Tap the AirPlay icon in the player and choose your Apple TV. If the picture stutters, install the player directly on the Apple TV instead.
If something goes wrong
- Login refused: retype it, because capital letters count, and check the "valid until" date.
- Buffering: move closer to your router, or connect the Apple TV by cable.
- Empty guide: update the EPG in the app's settings and wait a few minutes.

Common questions
Which app do I need on Apple TV or iPhone?
An IPTV player from the App Store that accepts Xtream Codes or an M3U link. Availability changes by country, and some players charge for their full version. That fee is separate from your IPTV subscription.
Can I use the same login on iPhone and Apple TV?
You can add the login to both. How many can watch at the same time depends on your plan.
Is AirPlay or an app on the Apple TV better?
For regular viewing, an app installed directly on the Apple TV is usually steadier. AirPlay from an iPhone is handy for quick viewing, as long as both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Does this work on a Mac?
Yes. Look for an IPTV player in the Mac App Store, or open your M3U link in a media player that supports network streams.
